Developing a brand identity for a neighborhood and its small businesses.

With an influx of federal funds, a community development corporation (CDC) in Washington D.C. looked to increase assistance to its neighborhood's small businesses. To move forward, the CDC reached out to me to develop an identity for the neighborhood as well as for each individual business.

I engaged the owners of over three dozen businesses from Congress Heights to discuss their strategic positioning and develop brand identities. I then worked with the CDC's program managers to develop storefront visualizations that included the brand identities and other building improvements as part of their grant writing process.
